Try this as a tutorial Not only is it for PSP but it covers blur and the use of Layer Masks. Do I select it from the layers menue while the text layer is selected? What do I choose.mask layer from image?

Tell me more about the mask layer please. I understand the guassian blur used it once and it did well. More of a fiddle but does give you greater control. Or, create a layer mask that you could use on each of the layers. But if you want to remove the texture but retain the colour then the easiest way is to try making a selection of the area and applying guassian blur to the texture layer to remove the detail but retain the tint. I can't see a way of duplicating the way the PSE healing brush was used in the tutorial with PSP. I assumed their spot healer was the same as our blemish fixer.ДЄctually here is a link to the video tutorial I was watching: They used the healing brush, and said something like 'not the spot healer', to take texture from unwanted places such as a face. Thanks everyone! The reason why I asked is I saw a texture tutorial for photo shop. It takes a bit of practice to get the width set properly. Scratch remover works very well - I have used it to remove power lines, and even complete telephone poles from landscapes. I often use it instead of the clone tool to fix imperfections in solid areas. I seem to find more use for the blemish fixer. Both the blemish fixer and scratch remover function identically, except for the shape. Pull out a selection and PSP clones in pixels from the two outer areas either side of the central zone. The closest tool is probably the Scratch Remover (found under the clone tool). Is there a PSP X2 tool that is the same as the healing brush in Photo Shop?
